
Chestnut Sesame Brownies
recipe adapted from Couture Chocolate
30 g white sesame seeds
85 g bittersweet chocolate (70 % cocoa solids)
100 g unsalted butter, softened
140 g caster sugar
2 eggs
40 grams all purpose flour, sifted
75 g candied chestnuts, roughly chopped
Pre-heat oven to 180 C
Line a 9 inch square pan with parchment paper.
Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a frying pan.
Melt chocolate.
In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Gradually add in the eggs and salt and beat until fully incorporated.
Add melted chocolate and mix until smooth.
Fold in flour, chestnuts and half of the sesame seeds.
Pour mixture into the prepared pan.
Sprinkle the sesame seeds .
Bake for about 20-30 minutes.
